Peri-Menopause: 3 Part Video Series; Video 3: Treatment Approach to Peri-Menopause

In the midst of this unfortunate chaos and upheaval, I hope you are feeling safe at home, physically and emotionally healthy, objectively well-informed and compassionately connected with your family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors and others you see out and about in your communities.

It’s a tough time to face these “dark” and contentious issues – both present and long standing. Lately, it seems like one uphill, relentless battle after another, yet with tiny steps of progress along the way.

Whatever the outcome, when and how it evolves, I’m hoping for a greater transformation towards happier, collaborative and more “light” filled days ahead. I recently came across this quote a couple of months ago and I thought it was perfect for this current time, especially now.

“Transmutation: Grapes must be crushed to make wine. Diamonds form under pressure.Olives are pressed to release oil. Seeds grow in darkness.Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed or in darkness, you are in a powerful place of transformation and transmutation. Trust the process.” ~ Lalah Delia

So, on a different, positive transitional note, I have posted the 3rd and final video of my 3 Part Video Series on Peri-Menopause – shown above. This one is on my Comprehensive Approach to treating Peri-Menopause and the various treatment options available to women going through such hormone changes.

Women’s hormonal health is my main specialty and I really enjoy helping women adjust, cope and find answers and relief during the peri and post menopausal years. Other medical conditions that I treat include thyroid support, diet/nutrition, food allergies, weight loss, GI conditions, skin problems, fatigue, allergies, immune system support, anxiety, depression, glucose/cholesterol/blood pressure reduction and more.

The main topics that I cover in the video shown above include:

1.) What to expect during the follow up appointments to evaluate, interpret and explain to patients the test results that are usually ordered after the initial New Patient Appointment as well as follow up appointments throughout the year.

2.) Why reviewing symptoms is just as important (maybe even more) as reviewing lab test results.

3.) How Functional/Naturopathic Medicine is the best approach for treating the whole body – in this case peri-menopausal hormone fluctuations and decline.

4.) How diet, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle factors (i.e. stress, job, family, etc) affects women’s hormones.

5.) Natural, safe, effective treatment options that are helpful for alleviating peri-menopausal symptoms – including supplements that contain vitamins, minerals, botanical (plant-derived) therapies and and prescription based natural bio-identical hormones.
